2018 Calendar Year Tax Receipt Deadlines for Your Year-end Gifts

To help you make your year-end gift in support of brain tumour patients and families, below are ways you can ensure your gift meets Canada Revenue Agency required deadlines to qualify for a 2018 tax receipt. There are many ways you can give until the end of the year.

You can drop off a gift in person, during regular business hours until Monday, December 24, 2018 at 4:30 pm. The office will then be closed from Tuesday, December 25, 2018 through to January 1, 2019. The office will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Donations sent by courier or hand-delivered

Hand-delivered donations must be received by 4:30 pm EST on Monday, December 24, 2018. Donations sent to us by courier must be received and date stamped by the courier company no later than December 31, 2018.  Donations received after that time will qualify for a 2019 charitable tax receipt.

Online donations

Online gifts can be made at any time and this option is always available to you at braintumour.ca. Just click on the Donate button at the top of the page. Online donations are receipted on the date and the time that the gift is made. Online donations made in 2018 will be eligible for a 2018 tax receipt and those made in 2019 will be eligible for a 2019 tax receipt.

Donations received by mail

Donations must be post marked by Canada Post no later than December 31, 2018. A gift received with a 2019 postmark must be receipted in 2019.

Donations made by telephone

Telephone credit card donations, either in person or by voicemail to Chelsey MacLachlan at extension 229, must be received by 4:30 pm EST on December 31, 2018 to be eligible for a 2018 charitable tax receipt. Telephone gifts received after that time, will qualify for a 2019 charitable tax receipt.

Thank you for your support and generosity all year long.
